Christchurch Police Station receives Planning Approval
Planning approval was granted to the proposed development for the Christchurch Police Station and former Magistrates Court site. The redevelopment of the brownfield site, which sits in the heart of Christchurch, to the east of the train station and across from Christchurch Park, will not only provide much needed housing, but also enhance the area in many ways.
Williams Lester designed the retirement properties on Barrack Road and some social housing elements of the scheme of 130 new homes, as part of a collaborative team.
In collaboration with Savills – the project’s planning consultant – we created a video that was presented to the committee in November 2020. The video included a fly-through animation of the proposal, alongside an thorough presentation of key issues of the site, which offered the project team a new opportunity of addressing the committee.
