BLANDFORD FORUM TOWN HALL REGENERATION

Williams Lester Architects are pleased to announce the recent submission of a full planning and listed building application for the regeneration of Blandford Forum's Grade I listed Town Hall.

A well-attended public briefing was held on Sat 11 February in the Corn Exchange, explaining this eagerly awaited project to the local community. The scheme includes the restoration of the original Georgian frontage, internalisation of the 'Shambles' currently an open loggia, rationalisation of the accommodation within Town Hall, and extensive works to the Victorian Corn Exchange to provide a multi purpose hall for community use. Also proposed is a new office building for the Town Council to the rear of the site, replacing the existing out-dated single storey building.

This exciting scheme has been developed over a number of years and has been developed throughout with the involvement and support of English Heritage and the LPA's Conservation Officer.
